Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Duration: Long term contract
Location: hybrid on site in Plano, TX
Pay Rate: $60-$65/hr
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
· Monitoring and managing all system/network infrastructure, troubleshoot reported problems. Including, but not limited to:
· Virtualization infrastructure
· Storage infrastructure
· Backups infrastructure
· Network/wireless
· Firewall/Security
· Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with computer systems.
· Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
· Install and configure new hardware, storage, and software.
· Add, remove, or update user account information, resetting passwords, etc.
· Assist with the development of system architectures and IT project plans
· Answer technical queries and assist users.
· Conduct system performance tuning.
· Work with security team to remediate systems/infrastructure as required.
· Build, implement, and troubleshoot information systems within the Microsoft stack of technologies, including Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
· Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk assessment, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
· Assists in the design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of new software and enhancements of existing applications.
· Provide technical support on existing and emerging technologies, plan and execute technology projects, tasks, and initiatives.
· Research and report on new technologies and how they provide value to the organization.
· Monitor and resolve hardware/software system problems.
· Install and create virtual machines as needed
Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
· 5 years of Infrastructure Engineering experience
· Experience with one or more of the following Microsoft technologies including: Active Directory, O365, Teams, and Azure.
